Here is some information I came across on a free online service for landlords to use (or renters) in comparing rents in their neighborhood. Go to www.rentometer.com and simply enter the address and number of bedrooms for your rental property or prospective property and it will tell you the rent ranges for the neighborhood. It will also show you where the comparable properties are – pretty cool.
They do have a Pro version that will advertise your vacant rental, screen tenants, manage and communicate with tenants and contractors, collect rent checks automatically (paper or electronic with credit card processing), and more. The current pricing is $9.95/mo which includes up to 5 units, $24.95 per month for up to 25 units, and $59.95 per month for unlimited units. Adding rent payment management is $5.00 per unit.
